After several attempts I would say that it's impossible to beat these enemies by simply spaming nonsense attacks, you have to pay attention to their mechanics to be able to overcome them, I'm excited to think what kind of enemies will come in the full game. Taking into account that it's a demo, I didn't expect that I could face against some boss, but luckily both levels have their respective final enemies, which have very fun and challenging confrontations, since they are the typical fights where many things will happen on screen and you'll have to be attentive to how to move to evade correctly. We will also have a speedrun mode that, if we want, we can activate it and a timer will appear that will show us the time played and how long it took us to complete the level, so the game makes it clear that it can offer a challenge to the most hardcore players. They are not impossible, but I would say that they are a little above the standard difficulty, which is great because they give you some satisfaction once you complete them. In the levels you will almost always come across some area that will slightly test you with enemies, traps and precise jumps where the slightest mistake can cost you a significant portion of your life or even kill you. On the other hand, the game takes the 'platforming' genre seriously. In both cases it is a mystery how to obtain them, since in this demo we will have them available from the beginning. In the case of the skills we will have quick hits, stun hits or a small self-healing, while the upgrade chips will give us advantages such as a double jump, inflict more damage with specific attacks, be invulnerable for a few seconds and a couple of other things. Our character will have a small inventory where we can equip ourselves with two things Special abilities and upgrade chips. We will also have a hook that will allow us to attack from a distance and pick up the robotic corpses of the enemies to use them as projectiles. Mechanically it feels very good, both combat and animations and character movement feel fluid and not clumsy at all, so moving through the scenarios is a pleasure.įocusing a little more on the combat, we will have the typical basic attack, but, we can perform different combos depending on where we point, that is to say If we attack while pressing forward, we will execute a combo, if we attack by pressing up, we will execute a different combo. In this demo we don't have any kind of story or context, we will enter directly to the main menu and we will have two levels to select, depending on which one we choose we will appear in one scenario or another. Gravity Circuit managed to make me fall in love with everything it showed in its previews, it seemed to me a fun platformer with a charming retro aesthetic, so taking advantage of having a free demo available, I decided to try it to see how it was. I don't usually try many demos, usually when I see a game that interests me I add it to my list and wait for its release, however, a few days ago browsing Steam I came across this curious title.
